This was a wedding I did yesterday. I had a terrible day.

Vanilla cupcakes, the cake cases fell off so had to rebake!
Lemon cupcakes, overspilled BADLY, had to rebake!
Cream Cheese frosting melted, BADLY, had to redo!

You know when you have a small order that is simple and you think this is going to be really easy…. Hmmm

Other things that happened… I burnt myself badly on the oven. My other half moved my mixing bowl and dropped the mixture (had to redo! LOL).

I then got to the venue, one of the chocolate shards had broken slightly, I did have spares, 15 of them, but they broke too. So left it as it is.

Then to top it all off, as I was putting the last cake on the stand, the wedding co-ordinator from the venue came in and said ‘OH’ ina very disappointed way. “I am not sure they will still be standing when the train pulls away!”

Argggghhhhh

You see this was set up at The Nene Valley Railway onboard a very old steam train. The bride and groom had taken all their guests to their surprise venue by a vintage red double decker bus. After the ceremony onboard another train, they would all be coming onto this one, for a lovely meal and to cut the cake. But whilst this will be happening the train will be MOVING!

Oh well… I have to pick the stand up later, we will see how they got on then? Continue reading
